With just over a week to the National Eyecare Group (NEG) Conference and Independents Day (iDay) the organisers announced two new innovations for this year’s event including a Boutique Eyewear Pavilion created by keynote speaker Jason Kirk. In addition to the obligatory business content, there will also be a total of 16-CET points accessible for optometrists, dispensing and contact lens opticians, across the 2-days of their respective conferences. Delegates can also win a week’s holiday in Tenerife by simply visiting some of the 43 Exhibitors at the sold out iShow.
PTR Director Nick Atkins commented, “I have finally made a longstanding idea to run a showcase for some of the smaller frame manufacturers come together. We’ve worked with Jason to curate the Boutique Eyewear Pavilion, where delegates will find the latest pieces from some of Europe’s most inspiring new frame designers. I’m sure it’ll provide some inspiration for delegates visiting our frames exhibitors at this year’s iShow.”
NEG Business Development Director Phil Mullins added, “I’m delighted with this years mix of important business subjects and continuing education. Whilst NEG and iDay are serious in their mission to support the business of the independent sector, it’s also great to get some CET to maximise the benefit of any time spent away focussing on the business.
