Following the announcement that this year’s Independents Day (iDay) and National Eyecare Group road show theme is ‘Balancing Eyecare & Eyewear’, the organisers have revealed further speaker news. Dean Waugh, retail designer and owner of RED (Retail Experience Design), will be discussing his passion for leading edge creative and considered design providing engaging health, wellbeing and retail environments.
Phil Mullins, Operations Director at NEG, commented, “Dean has been delivering successful store environments and branding solutions for over 20 years. During his career, Dean has enjoyed working across a diverse range of clients and projects; from global brands to boutique and independent stores. He’s even bagged a few awards along the way! The optical market is now a core industry for RED.”
Following last month’s announcement of Andy Clark as Keynote, fellow optometrists and practice owners Mark Holloway, Michelle Beach and Gerard Fernandes, from Optician Award winning Lynne Fernandes Optometrists, have been revealed as his support dependent on venue.
PTR Director Nick Atkins commented, “These are guys who have ‘walked the talk’ in their own businesses. Each and will share their own unique perspective on successful independent practice and how they manage balancing the eye care versus eyewear conundrum. I think we have a great mix of experts sharing the stage this year and I’m particularly looking forward to the panel discussion that will close the meeting.”
